Description of tea leaves:
Ali Shan’s mountainous region has cool weather, cloaked by clouds and fog morning and night with short average sun exposure. Qinxing oolong and Jinxuan tea are most frequently planted on these mountains, covering half the area of Chiayi County. Along Provincial Highway 162A from Taiping to Reili, the mountains and valleys are covered entirely by tea plantations near all settlements.
Due to many excellent production conditions such as growth environment, climate and temperature, length of sun exposure, inclination of plantation, and production techniques, the Jinxuan tea plants in the Ali Shan high-mountain Oolong tea region grow thick, supple leaves with a gleaming emerald color. What’s unique is that Jinxuan tea possesses a light milky, flowery aroma as well as the refreshing elegance of an high-mountain tea. This difference in taste makes it very popular with women and young people.
