Description of tea leaves:

Ali Shan’s mountainous region has cool weather, cloaked by clouds and fog morning and night. Average sun exposure is short so the tea leaves grown in the region have less of a bitter taste. Most tea plants are located at altitudes of 1,000m to 1,800m. In addition, tea plants grow slowly because of the large temperature discrepancies between day and night. Leaves are thick and sprouts supple. Irrigation with mountain spring water makes for tea with a mellow, lively taste. This has always been a renowned tea production location. When former vice president Hsieh Tung-min visited, he discovered the excellence of the tea produced here and named it “Ali Shan Pearl Dew Oolong tea”.

A good Ali Shan Pearl Dew Oolong tea has emerald leaves which are shaped in a semi-circle. The tea liquor has an alpine scent and an exquisite taste which is powerful yet delicate, leaving a sweet aftertaste. This draws similarities to the gradated peaks of Ali Shan, making it one of the best teas in the Ali Shan region!
